January 6 - 7    Elvis Fest - Chapel Hill

Local and regional bands come together to celebrate The King. Elvis Fest is in its 20th year in 2017.

Saturday's show rescheduled to Friday, January 20, due to snow.

Friday: John Howie Jr. and the Rosewood Bluff, Dexter Romweber, Phatlynx, Elvis Division, Phantom Playboys.
Saturday: GTV's, Viva Le Vox, TCB '56, Kitty Box and the Johnnies, Greg Phoenix Experience, Menders.

7 p.m. Friday, 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

$12 nightly.

January 13 - 15    Big Band and Swing Dance Weekend - Asheville

The weekend includes concerts with headliners and "big band all-stars," dance instruction, afternoon tea dance and more at the resort hotel.

Friday: Andrew Thielen Big Band, George Wilkins, more.
Saturday: The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, Andrew Thielen Big Band, more.
